I've collected more black and white photos, that i think represent some of the archetypes of the art. Some are high contrast, some are low contrast and some are just perfect. Some are 'noir', some are studio shots, and others just seem like plain ol snapshots. Anyways, the thing that unites them all is that every one of them seems to not use color in order to maximize the beauty of the shot.
I think by looking at these photos as a whole, we can begin to see some of the tricks and techniques we all use to make a good healthy black and white photo.

I know a lot of people are getting sick of all these articles that continue to feature pictures. I just hope that this can be entirely different. I hope that this article can be used as a learning tool and an eye opener to anyone who is into photography.
My plan is to show the public how complex, interesting, and visually fascinating the monochromatic arts can be. And even though you might be well versed and experienced in the field, i still think everyone can be inspired and take a little bit of knowledge from these selected photos.
